The Challenge
Transforming an outdated site into a modern, dynamic platform
The original website showed its age and no longer met the expectations of today’s users. The layout felt heavy and lacked the clean, open structure the client envisioned. Dynamic content was limited, making it difficult for the team to highlight their growing programs and unique offerings. The client wanted a refreshed visual direction with a mid century modern influence, paired with more airy layouts and a more flexible system for updating content across the site.
The Direction
A clean, open design inspired by mid century modern sensibilities
We developed a layout centered around clarity, space, and warm visual accents that reflect the mid century modern aesthetic requested by the client. Typography, color palettes, and spacing were all intentionally selected to evoke a timeless and inviting tone. Program information was reorganized for easier discovery, supported by custom iconography and refreshed imagery. The structure encourages users to explore lessons, classes, camps, and performance opportunities with ease.

The redesigned website gives The Music Studio an updated digital identity that reflects their professionalism and long standing commitment to music education. The new layout is easier to navigate, with improved hierarchy and more open spacing to showcase programs, teachers, and community offerings. The site is now fully responsive and more intuitive, helping new and returning families find the information they need quickly.
Unique Functionality
Easily managed teacher profiles with smart filtering
We built a custom teachers system using custom post types, giving the client a simple way to add, edit, and organize instructor profiles. Each teacher has a dedicated entry where bio, instruments, and programs can be updated without touching the layout. A front-end filter by instruction type allows visitors to quickly find teachers for specific instruments or areas of study, making it easier for families to match students with the right instructor.
